The Quicker I Go To Sleep, The Faster Father Christmas Will Come

Puppynap told me I should prepare myself for some surprise visitors so I was ready when I heard a beep, beep.

I was straight in the window to see.

It was The Elf and The Husband Elf, they had come for Christmas.

We got ready for a walk, Daddy and me, everyone else was staying indoors to keep it warm for me.

We went around the way to look at the Christmas lights everyone had up. I got so excited I rolled all around on my back...

...and the looked at all the presents under the tree for me.

Even David came for a look. I could tell he was really excited too.

All the excitement tired me out so I went to sleep on granddad.

Until the my friend the girl came and then I snuggled up her to to have a sleep. The quicker I go to sleep, the faster Father Christmas will come.

Today Is Christmas Eve

Today is Christmas Eve and Puppynap and Daddy are home with me and we're getting all ready for some people to come and see me tonight. I can't wait.

While we waited he sat me down and told me all about their holiday to Amsterdam. It's one of their favorite places ever.

There's always lots of people doing things in the streets and in the windows. He said they met a load of sailors.

Then went for a walk around to look at all the Christmas lights. They looked beautiful but of course it would have been even better if I was there with them he said. He said he thought I would have really loved it.

On their walk they saw a man playing a guitar in his window. Daddy said he thought it was very cool. Yes I think I would have liked to have seen that.

But I think I would have liked to see all the dragons and things that live there even more. they look so magical.

Then Daddy went through a magic tunnel...

...and on the other side were lots and lots of tiny people. I don't know what they were doing, having a fashion parade I think.

Then some magic lightening stuff came out of Daddies hands.

And a magic little castle appeared out of nowhere. It must be that everything was very small after you went through the magical tunnel.

There was even a little rainbow coloured doggie over there, He looked a little bit like Puggie who walks up and down the road, except he isn't multi-coloured.

There were even more strange looking people that side of the tunnel, these people had furry faces and horns. All very strange.

Then he said they saw a snowman, but he was all lit up in lots of colours as well, they must have gone through a rainbow.

They must have left that land then as there was a normal little doggie just sitting having a rest. I think we would have been good friends if I had been there. He looked lonely and like he could do with a lick.

Amsterdam has a lot of dogs everywhere, they must love us very much there.

Ah yes I was right, this was the land of rainbows and magic and I cannot wait to go and see it with them.

I Think Nanny Is On To Me

Still no sign...

...But I did manage to get down from the window ledge all by myself. I think nanny is on to me! 

I'm Still Waitng

I'm still waiting, no sign yet.

One good thing I've managed to fool nanny that I just have to come in from the garden bark and she thinks it's time for a treat for being a god girl. My first was before eight this morning.

Make The Time Go Quicker

I was all excited this morning when The Elf came to surprise visit me. 

Then Daddy and Puppynap got in the car and said they would see me soon and not to miss them to much, although they would miss me loads. They were going to go away on holiday for a couple of days and nanny was here to look after me and David.

I don't know how long they are going to be gone for but I miss them even if they are gone just a few minutes. If I wait in the window I'l be able to see them the second they come back to me and then we can all play, lots.

I think I'll have to see if me and David can come up with some games to play on The Elf. Yes I think she would like that and it might make the time go quicker too.

I Wasn't Expecting What Happened, Not At All

I wasn't expecting what happened, not at all.

I was just having a little sit in the living room wondering where David was when...

...Puppynap came in sat down in front of me and said I had to choose a hand. There was only one hand so I licked that one...

...and then he opened it and there was a treat inside. I've not had treats for ages, months maybe even years ago, not since I went on my special diet.

He said it was time to see if I could eat these without getting itchy. 

I must not scratch, I must not scratch!

I Worked Out How To Do It

I worked out how to do it, get Puppynap to put the computer away and let me on his lap.

What you do is, walk right on top of the keyboard and sit down that works.

I Want On!

Ergh!

It's not fair. I wanted to cuddle up on Puppynaps lap and he's doing work on the computer.

I've tried to scratch at it and that usually makes him put it down and let me on but that's not worked yet. I shall have the think of another way because that lap looks mighty comfy and I want on!

To Turn Around - EVER!

They keep on making me practice getting off the window ledge and not really helping me.

They know I find it really hard with the Christmas Tree up to turn around. I wish they would understand it doesn't matter how much I practice I'm not going to be able to do it. EVER!

They're Bigger Than My Head

I was waiting all morning for Daddy to come home but the I had a big surprise...

...it wasn't just Daddy who came in but Puppynaps oldest friend D. I was so surprised they didn't tell me she was coming for a visit.

I didn't realise before how large her hands are, they're bigger than my head.

We all sat and had a good old talk and then Daddy said it was time for us to go out for a nice long Winter walk. It was very foggy out and we walked for a long time.

And by the time we got to where we was going it was dark...

...and we had to wait for the train to go by.

When it had passed we walked for a bit more, over a very old bridge.

There was lots and lots of things to play in on the bridge...

...but we couldn't stop too long we had a pub to go to. The pub by the river. I was allowed to explore everywhere I wanted to outside. I was even allowed to have a sleep on the table.

Before I cuddled up on Puppynap. I was so tired and wanted to be carried home but I had to walk, although because everyone by then was very hungry we almost ran home.

Which just made me even more tired out.

Away On Business

I'm waiting for my Daddy to come home. Puppynap said he won't be home tonight. he's had to go away on business but will be back tomorrow morning.

I'm hoping he's playing a trick on me and Daddy will be home soon. I'm missing him.

On My Walk Today...

On my walk today...

...I sniffed a bush.

I sniffed a wall.

I sniffed a lamp post...

...and did a big jump.

I sniffed another bush...

...then my favourite rock..

...and the post box...

...before I licked my nose and crossed the road, remembering my green cross code.

I sniffed a big green box...

...and chased some other doggies on the other side of the road.

I sniffed a fence post...

...and looked for little ants.

I sniffed a drain pipe.

I sniffed a step...

and said hello to Mrs Christmas.

And then Puppynap tied me up to a post while he went to get some chips.

But he wouldn't let me have any no matter how much I begged him but I did find one on the floor that someone else had left behind and snaffled it in my mouth before he could get it.

I like walks like these, lots of sniffs and a chip treat to end with!
