My Christmas Eve, River
Today is a very special day it's called Christmas Eve, it's the day before Christmas. I was allowed to sleep on the bed all night last night.
When we got up me and Daddy had something to eat and then Puppynap said there would be some people come to see us later for Christmas.
I decided to wait up by the window to see when they were here.
I also had a little look at my presents. I wonder what I am getting?
Then I heard a sound behind me...
...it was David. He had come to play with me, for Christmas Eve.
*Sniff, sniff*
We love playing rough and tumble.
But then David said he'd had enough and went upstairs to sleep and I played with my lamby,
And got a treat.
And had a sleep.
And then it was time to give Puppynap his Christmas card from me.
And while Daddy looked in amazement at the one from me to him me and David had a little play.
And then I watched Puppynap eat some cake. I'm not allowed cake. Cake looks good.
And then I remembered people were coming to see me and waited in the window for them.
And then they were here.
It was Daddies cousin and his mummy and daddy. I didn't know who to go to first, so I went to the presents. I wonder what I'm getting?
I did think I might be getting one early when The Elf rattled the bag.
But she was just teasing me.
So I went to sit up with Daddy at the table and see if I could see what was in the bag over her shoulder.
But I couldn't and decided to take myself to bed for a bit. I was very happy when Puppynap came up to tuck me in but then I decided to go back down the stairs again.
It was time for dinner, chicken and mashed potatoes. It was then time for a sleep, I want to be awake to see Santa come and visit us tonight.

Christmas Resting
We had a last night last night, the girl came around. I sat on her feet.
So today I'm very tired, so is Daddy, I'm resting on his legs. We're both Christmas resting.

Then Daddy Joined In - He Made Me Work For It!
And then Daddy joined in. He put it all over my face!
And then he put it up really high.
But I can get it, I'll just use Daddy's lap to help me up...
...and then jump!
But he was really quick, he saw me coming and lifted it up even higher.
But I jumped up and got it, through he really made me work for it!
We're In Agreement!
Puppynap brought the furry rug down for us to play on. I love the furry rug it' lovely and soft all over me.
Then he brought down some things he said to make something out of.
David! Quick come David, there's things to see.
So what is it we're going to make then?
I'll just get this bit.
Oh good David, you're here. We've got some new things to play with.

Then Puppynap said he was giving up and we could just play with everything,

Playing Castle
We're playing castle. What you do is make sure you protect your castle, our castle is the chair. You can block it or lay on it or anything you like to make sure you have it and the winner is the one who get's to rule over the castle all day.
David is desperate to win, he;s been circling me for hours but I'm ready for him, I've just got to keep awake and I'm so very tired this morning.

At Night! - Can You See Me?
I had just finished a great big play tumble with David when Puppynap said come on River we're going to take you out to see the Christmas lights at night!
Come on Daddy up the road...
...to see the house with millions of lights on.
Around the corner.
Don't loose me.
Around the other corner and there's more lights.
Can you see me?
Around another corner to where Auntie Silver used to live years ago.
Come on, can you see me?
Nice door display!
Down the steps, up the hill and around the corner. Can you still see me?
Double back on ourselves and we're home again...
...and we can see what our tree looks like from outside. I like going for a walk in the night.
