It's Tiny!

Um I was still wondering what the day was going to bring when Daddy said come on River we're going out to get some fresh air.

Great, I'll lead the way.

You can pull all you like on that lead but I'm staying here until I finished smelling these flowers.

Walk on the mini wall as close as possible to the stream to test your skill and the nerve of the others. Check!

Come on I see where I want to go next.

Right. By the Ford and left to the duck pond.

Wow big fish.

Look come see everyone.

There's ducks as well.

Finally some water I can drink, it's thirsty this leading business.

And very, very tiring!

Post's Arrived!

I was just having a little sleep next to Puppynap when I heard a big noise from outside.

It was Tiny, he was calling over Happy Birthday River, go look the post's arrived!

Puppynap went down the stairs and then came back up with a gravy bone treat and a card especially from me that the postman had brought.

BRILLIANT! It's a card from The Elf and the Husband Elf, especially for me.

I love cards but I love envelopes even better and Puppynap said as it was my birthday I was allowed to do whatever I wanted with it.

I wanted to chew it all up and leave a great big pile of mess on the floor. That's what you do with envelopes you know.

Great I'm finished with that, what we gonna do now?

Can I Go Out To Play?

It's very warm and so I had a little lay down by the window to keep cool and then...

...;I saw Tiny on the other side of the road and he called out to me to come and play. Hang on I just need to ask my Daddy if I'm allowed out to play.

Can I Daddy? Can I go out to play?

Digging His Heals In

Look Daddy, come and look quickly, Tiny is going for a walk but he's waiting for me. 

Look can you see he's digging his heals in, he waiting for me, Tiny wants me to come for a walk too.

Oh Daddy, you wasn't quick enough.

I Think It's Because...

I'm not feeling very well today. I was a little bit sick all over Puppynap's legs, top, my pillow, the sofa and myself. He was very good and cleaned everything up and gave me a wash and a cuddle.

I think it's because I saw my friend Tiny had come out to play...

...and I wasn't allowed to go over and play with him.

Good Advice

Puppynap opened the window and said if I sit up there the breeze would make me feel better. It was good advice I did feel better but not because of the breeze...

It was because I could see Tiny out there watching his daddy cleaning the car. I called over to him to say hello but I don't think he could hear me because of all the water going everywhere.

Daddy can I go over there to play with him?

All These Cats

It's raining AGAIN, which is just rubbish because I can't go out to play in the garden and try and find Nadia. Puppynap plays a good game with me called let's find the tortoise but we've not been able to do it for ages. It's great in the Summertime because she doesn't hide as well then but in the Wintertime she build's tunnels and things and I've got to sniff her out which is doubly hard with ALL THIS RAIN!

I got fed up just sleeping next to Puppynap though and when he went to the toilet I jumped up on the window to see if Tiny was out playing but he wasn't.

But there was all these cats looking at us over here looking sad. That one called Twizzle was looking from her window...

...and the one called Emma was hiding under the car and looked like she was crying, but maybe it was the rain in her face.

Love Heart's brother was hiding under a car in the road, looking a bit surprised at something, and....

...Love Heart was under another car. I thought she would come and play with me, she does sometimes. She's like Lil' she likes to play chase along the back wall but even she didn't look like she wanted to play today.

Erghhhhh it's not fair all these cats around and not one of them in the mood to play with me today. I think I best go back to sleep again, Puppynap said I can play with some of my special friends later. BRILLIANT!

Daddy and Puppynap said today is a special day for me, they said that today I was going to get anything I wanted and Puppynap pulled me up on the bed early and said that Daddy was home today to spend the whole day with me.

BRILLIANT! 

When Daddy woke up he gave me a great big cuddle and said that today it's my second birthday, it's been 365 days, a whole year since I came to live here and that they loved me very very much.

I love them very much too.

When Daddy brought me down the stairs he said I could do anything and gave me a great big treat.

When I was eating it I saw Tiny watching his Daddy clean his car and we said hello to each other. I want to help my Daddy wash the car and I think I will this weekend.

When Puppynap came down the stairs Daddy said come on River we're going to get you an extra special treat. Oooh.

Come on hurry up Daddy and don't forget me!

I'll lead the way.

When we got to the top of the road Daddy said look there's Father Christmas, he's coming to see you soon.

YIPPEE Father Christmas is coming. This is a brilliant day.

Has he left me a present here?

No it wasn't but it might be here!

Ah it's in there, Daddy has gone inside to get it and he said I'm going to have an experience I've never had before. Oooh!
