They Had Been To A Far Away Place

I was so excited to see Daddy and Puppynap last night when they got home that I tired myself out and it wasn't until this morning that they sat me down to tell me where they had been.

They had been to a place far away, they had to go into the clouds to get there.

Wow, into the clouds! I would love that and one day Daddy said I was going to go into the clouds too but we would be all together and I would get to see the world from a high up place, but there was no need to worry it would all be OK.

Puppynap showed me some pictures, people live in windows in this place that must be handy for making friends

and there are some very exotic looking flowers.

And water comes out of the ground in spurts. I bet that would be fun to run through!

And then they met a lady who lived in a window and she had a light in her hand. she must be the lady that shows everyone where to go.

Into a strange and mysterious world if the pictures are anything to go by!

Puppynap said it was very clean there, a man goes around washing the floor every day, he must be very tired, all that washing, it exhausted me just cleaning David's face.

In this place there are a lot of birds, the owls are in a band playing music. I think I would like to go and see that band, Daddy said one day we would live there and then I could see these amazing things everyday!

But I need to learn how to swim because there is water everywhere and I might fall in...

...but if I do either Daddy or Puppynap would rescue me and if they weren't around the superhero who walks the streets would jump in to save me.

In this place they place music in the streets, there seems to be a lot of music type stuff going on in this land. 

So much so it makes people go crazy and put bags on their heads when they need a little sleep.

At night Puppynap said this place turns into a magical wonderland. 

And everyone comes out to play.

I can't wait to visit, it seems beautiful. When we going? when we going?

I Followed My Green Cross Code

I was having a lovely sit on Daddies leg when Puppynap said...

"Come on River, we're going out"

Come on then I'm ready!

In the car and we went and saw the girl, just to say hello as we were in the area. She's looking happy.

And then we was there and Daddy took me for a walk on the green...

...lots of new smells here, I wonder where they will lead me?

And then we were there, we were at my friends house. It's lovely to see you.

They left the door open and I had a little explore. Umm we're high up, I think I'll stay here if it's OK with you.

I was a good girl for as long as I could. I had chicken for dinner.

And then I went for a lovely cuddle with WHS. Cuddle me tight!

Let Me Give You A Kiss

I was just having a little sleep when Puppynap said come on River we're going to get our special friend.

Oh were at the place where Daddy used to come home from. There she is, there she is it's WHS.

And then we went to a lovely garden and Puppynap and WHS said we're having lunch River. Um lip licking good, I wonder what I'm having?

Come on hurry up with the dinner, I'm hungry.

Brilliant it's chips! One of my favourites. Can I have another one?

And then Daddy came and met us and we all went home and sat around in the garden chatting.

That was lovely but I got bored and shouted at Daddy to play chase the ball with me and so I could show WHS how good I am at it.

I've had a BRILLIANT day thank you WHS let me give you a kiss.

Lick

I was such a good helpful girl today. Puppynap said a special friend was coming to see me this week and we needed to tidy up and clean the windows. Puppynap did the inside and then went outside. 

Silly Puppynap, you didn't clean the inside enough. Never mind I'll sort that out for you.

Underground Overground, A Special Look Out Tower!

Puppynap said come on River you are going on a BIG ADVENTURE today and then Daddy put my new mac on me.

Come on then let's get going I wanna go on a BIG ADVENTURE!

 

We then went in the car but I was too excited to go to sleep today!

When we got there we was at a place I haven't been to before. 

Ooh where are we?

*Sniff, sniff*

No definitely not been here before are we nearly there yet?

I love your new home.

You've even got a special look out tower!

It's very high up here it's amazing!

And then Daddy said come on River that's only the first part of the adventure, we're going to go underground!

UNDERGROUND!

I've never been underground before.

First of all we went on a moving metal thing.

No Daddy I don't like it, I'm getting off.

But it was OK Daddy picked me up when we went on the moving metal thing. I was glad because it was very long and I don't like moving things unless it's the car.

We then went through some tunnels that big rabbits could live in and there was lots of people and then a big noisy snakey thing came from another tunnel and doors opened and Daddy, me, Puppynap and WHS all got in.

Daddy put me on the floor and then the doors closed and people looked at me and then we went wosh and the floor shook.

I didn't like it and when they saw Daddy picked me up and put me on a cushion next to him and hugged me in tight.

No I didn't like it, it scared me a bit.

And then we got off and I was happy. 

This bit was brilliant I got to walk on some shiny slippy floor and there was lots and lots of people and I LOVED IT.

Wow so many legs and smells.

And then Daddy said come on River we're now going overground.

Oh no, I hope it's better than the underground.

It was lighter and although there was lots of people that looked at me they smiled a bit more and Daddy put me on the floor and when we moved it was quieter and nicer and I didn't mind this bit.

Because I got a bit tired after a while I jumped up on Daddies lap for a cuddle and I looked out the window and saw things just like in the car. 

I like this bit.

This is a real adventure.

When we got off we met some friends and walked down a big road. I didn't know where we was going but this was also a part of the adventure.

Then they said, we're here!

Amazing a brilliant adventure to a place named after me.

Daddy, you are so clever to do this adventure for me x

Then we went into a pub and a lady gave me water and 4 treats as soon as we went in. Thank you x

When I was finished we all sat down and I sat on Puppynaps legs to see everything that was going on.

We were in a pub! I've been to a pub before when we went to another River near home when I was very little and when we visited WHS in London before and on my first ever holiday.

Right. What's for dinner Daddy?

After dinner I had a chance to give WHS a proper cuddle. She's my friend you know!

I had a brilliant time in there and I chatted to lots of people and little children who gave me lots of strokes and cuddles and said hello to some other dogs in there who were having an adventure of their own.

I was getting sleepy and then Daddy said come on River we're going to go now, but the adventure isn't over yet and we went back on the overground and then the underground.

I DON'T LIKE THE UNDERGROUND THING!

Daddy put me next to him as soon as we got to the underground thing and cuddled me in and I did a little shake when we started moving and Puppynap promised I'd never have to go on the underground again as it scared me and I must never be scared and everyone agreed.

And then we said bub bye WHS and got back in the car and then all of a sudden we was at the girls.

And then we was back at home and I was cuddled up with my Daddy on the sofa with the duvet. 

I've had a brilliant adventure.
