My Christmas Eve

Today s called Christmas Eve, Daddy told me when I woke up very early. I was so excited I went outside in the rain and rolled around in the grass. Yippee it's Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Even you must sit and look at the Christmas tree lights. I did this with Lil' this year.

And then all of a sudden I heard the doorbell go ding ding and then I smelt someone I know and knew who it was...

It was The Elf/ The Elf, THE ELF IS HERE!

*Jump up and down and round and round in circles in excitement*

Oh she's brought presents with her. What's in the box? What's in the box? Hurry Up Daddy!

Brilliant, it's paper and I'm allowed it.

That's that shreeded. Right what's next?

Lil came to have a look at my artwork and say hello to the Husband Elf.

I will say hello in a minute, The Elf's just got me a treat for being such a creative girl.

Right now that's done, hello Husband Elf, you've got some interesting papers there, let me take care of them for you.

Lil', LIL'! Look, LIL'!

Then I played with The Elf again and she played tug o' war with me.

Ohh. Don't go yet!

Then when they went I played fight the daddies sock game.

I won!

Daddy and Puppynap said that if I go to sleep, Santa Paws will come and see me even quicker, maybe even make me the first little doggies that he comes to visit tonight. I'm going to close my eyes, very, very tightly.

The Day Before Christmas Eve - And Then...

Today is the day before Christmas Eve and what a day it's been!

It started with Lil' and me having a little chat and chase, and then...

Puppynap and Daddy said I must leave her alone and blocked the road at the side of the sofa, and then...

I whinged.

And then...

Puppynap said I can't get no satisfaction.

And then I ate a lovely big piece of red peppers

And then I got Felix and ran to find my Daddy.

But I couldn't find him and then...

Puppynap called me to to come in and start gossiping with the neighbours.

And then I slept for a bit. And then...

I found my Daddy cooking me chicken and rice for my tea. I ate it all up like a good girl, any then...

I went and had a look at the Christmas Tree

And then I went to sleep early because tomorrow is...

CHRISTMAS EVE!

Bag O' Bones

Daddy and Puppynap said Come on River we're going to see the girls. The girls are our friends.

Brilliant, come on then I'm ready!

When we got there they gave me big kisses and cuddles. I wagged my tail a lot and licked their faces. Then they said there's something under the tree for you River.

BRILLIANT, WHAT IS IT!

I jumped down and then I saw the lights on the tree.

WOW! They are so pretty.

Now where's that present? Is it here?

No *giggles* I see it there it is, it's a bag o' bones for me and some Dreamies for Lil'. Thank you girlie's, now get ready I'm gonna lick your faces again.

With Wild Abandon

Daddy said it's the first day of his Christmas holiday and everyone is allowed to sleep in as long as they want...

...but we've not got time for that.

Come on everyone it's time to play with Felix, she needs to be thrown around the room with wild abandon.

He Says Naughty, I Say Clever

Puppynap said I've been a naughty girl but I think I've been very clever.

Daddy and Puppynap went out and when he came back in he gave me a treat but I was still feeling hungry so I ate up all my breakfast. Then I felt all excited and chased Lil' around the room and when she went out the door I followed her into the garden.

Puppynap then opened the door and tricked me by pretending he had another treat in his hand and I came running in. He then put a cushion in the door so I couldn't get out and went up the stairs. I wanted to chase Lil' though and pulled the cushion out with my teeth and went back into the garden. I couldn't see Lil' but I did see another cat and chased him as well barking out come to play.

Puppynap came back down and opened the door but I wasn't going to fall for that trick again and carried on. In the end he came out to play and chased me all the way around the garden. It was so much fun running around in the dark, the grass was all crispy and Puppynap fell over but he didn't hurt himself.

When he caught me he brought me up the stairs with him early and got in the bath. It was OK though, Lil' came up to see me and we had a little chat. I don't know why he said I was being a naughty girl I think I

was very clever working out how to pull the cushion out the door!

Maybe She Doesn't Want Chicken For Tea

After we came back indoors I had a lovely piece of chicken that Puppynap had cooked for me. Then I saw Lil' I wanted to tell her that we were having chicken for tea.

She just looked at Puppynap and ignored me.

Urghhh.

I barked really loud in case she didn't see me but she did I know she did but then she went behind the Christmas Tree. Maybe she doesn't want chicken for tea.
